  1. Beware….S-Air wireless cartridge EZW-T100 not included in BDV-E300; sold separately. I only found out after receiving box. Add another $50 if you plan to use S-Air.

  2. The product itself works fine, but be prepared to shell out an additional $200 to purchase the transmitter and reciever unit from Sony to make the ‘wireless’ speakers work. I would think that Sony should explain this to you upfront, but they don’t. Even after 1 hour on the Sony helpline they conceded that it is confusing! (It took Sony an hour to figure it out!!!) They offered no help either, just shell out $200 more and we will ship you the parts that make it work. After more research, my experience was that RocketFish offered the same parts for only $100. Certainly still not ideal, but saved a $100.

I will have to think twice about Sony purchases in the future.

  3. Sorry, not much to offer. It is a good system. Why would any one spend this much when you can purchase Sony blu-ray DVD player for less than $150? I made the mistake of purchasing this product thinking that the speakers work wirelessly. Learnt the hard way that it is not so. Sony sucks in their documentation. It is better to contact their support in advance and ask all your questions before buying their products. Feeling bad to write this review – I have been a Sony customer for over a decade.

  4. This stereo provided everything Sony promised except one I really hoped for. I have it connected to a Bravia TV and DTV. Guess what: None of the remotes work all the boxes. Dig into the internet and there is no code for this stereo system. Having said that, it was my only disappointment. Excellent sound and DVD quality.

  5. Excellent – Very happy with my purchase.

My gripes would include no current support for online services like Netflix – even though the box is capable of it; care of the fact it’s BD Live capable (and higher end models supposedly do it) – and the other is the included ‘iPod dock’ – the TPM-20.
