  1. Ok, here is the deal.

    1) Your best bet is Dolby PL Emulation.

    2) Your inputs from the Window/Apple/Linux/External inputs need to be LOW> this unit is sensitive to high outputs. Just turn down your PC mixer setting no matter what os and deal with it. Its a good trade off.

P.S. when running digital COAX or fiber, you have no control on windows with the master volume control. Knock down the other volume settings on the mixer.

    3) Digital inputs achieve no volume with this BITCX!

    4) If you want volume you need a sound card that lets you do SPDIF digital or fiber AND analogue output at the same time or you are SCREWED! Take it back now.

Don’t know what the deal is???

The quality seems to drop on digital + analog, but it’s worth 100 bucks more than my Regent for 49.00

    5) You get AM/FM + nicer look + higher quality + fiber/coax inputs + preset eq’s

    6) If your saving money, buy the right sound card.

    7) My recommendation is to spend another 150 bucks and get the real deal.

    8) I don’t need the extra volume so I rather spend 150 buck on escaping the carbon credit economy by investing in food and water. HA, LOL…..

    9) Studio surround setting gives you the most control at the most volume, but it only seems to be available on FM/AM mode??? whatever, sucks. Get the firmware fixed RCA.#$(*@#)(*%)@(*%^

  2. I brought this system 12/11/2007, I would let you know this system is no good, I would tell anybody not to buy this system, I have sold this system all ready. This Best System is RCA RT2500 But You Can’t find it no more.

  3. I was impressed by the reviews and purchased this product. In my 10 X 18 media room you have to crank it up to 45 ( 50 being max vol) and that is via the digital coaxial connector!! I replaced the front speakers with my Bose 201’s and it helped a little but I will replace this asap. Great for a childs room. New progressive digital dvd player is connected to the system.

  4. I’ve only had the system for two days, but it sounds ok and is working fine. The inputs are a little weak… but it works for my limited use.

  5. I never actually heard the sound quality so I can’t attest to that. I ran into the problem of the speaker wire being hard wired into the speakers. The wire they’ve included is just to short. My theater room is not very big. It was in a previous life a 1 car garage. I was not able to reach the back speakers to the back edge of the room, and the front speakers would not reach to the outer edges of the front wall.
