  2. Same as others, the Subwoofer died after 12 months, I called Philips and they informed me that the warranty period ended and they will not be able to do anything… It’s a pretty shameful reply. But I will stay away with Philips products.

  3. As many before myself have said, my sub woofer died and the sound no longer works after 12 months. PHILIPS suggested a local repair center, but I’m not bothering to call due to it most likely being more expensive than the actual product.

  4. Everything was great until my subwoofer started giving me problems about a year and a half after I bought the system. At first it would buzz for 10-20 seconds before it warmed up, but everytime I turn it off, it would take longer to warm up each time. Now it takes 40 minutes and I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten as much as I can out of it. Sounds like alot of people have had the same problem, only theirs died completely. Phillips and Magnavox used to have top-notch products(I still have a Magnavox stereo and CD player console that my parents bought back in 1990 that still works great!), but after buying this home theater system and seeing how many people have had problems with this, I will stay away from these products in the future

  5. I have owned this system for 18 months. The subwoofer blew out on me. Initially it started with snap crackle pop noises until eventually the system would not turn on at all. Pretty shoddy equipment. I will stay away from Philips equipment from now on.
