  1. Great product for the price, easy setup, I prefer a separate remote control, I mainly bought it to supplement the lousy sound on my Sha.. flat screen TV.

  2. I recently purchased the LG 50pk550 and wanted to upgrade the sound system. I have to agree with everything else that was already said about the system. I had to order an optical cable to hook into my TV, my TV didn’t have any RCA outputs.

  3. i just received this soundbar from amazon 2 days after ordering it via fed-ex with free shipping great service now to the soundbar i already owned a sony 100 and listened to 2 yas 71’s last week and both had to be returned to a different merchant for defective subwoofers i wanted to buy the new vizio soundbar that was supposed to be out in jan. but has been pushed back another month then a thread i was reading on avs forum mentioned jvc’s new soundbars so i looked up this model which i guess is about a year old if you want a nice upgrade from your tv speakers and much better audio from your blu ray or dvd this is it just don’t expect a great surround system because that’s not what any of these are but for $269.00 2 optical inputs dolby dts decoding and a wireless sub what else out there is better than that ? and i’m not sure spending $400.00 will buy you more and anything more than that you might as well buy a 5.1 system

    hope this review helps

    good luck

ps the only feature that was missing was an audio video sync feature but so far that’s not a problem one more thing that needs mentioning if possible have the soundbar mounted at least ear level or above once i mounted the bar above the tv the sound improved quite a bit enough to add another half a star to the rating

  4. I received the soundbar in a very timely manner. The setup was easy and quick. The sound produced by the JVC soundbar is clear and quite good. I listened to the soundbar using sport stations, local news, movies and music from satellite stations located on my DirecTV. However, once listening to the soundbar for an extended period of time, I found that the maximum level was necessary and this did not always provide enough sound. Now of course my wife was pleased, she’s not big on loud noise. She also felt the soundbar did a very good job with reproducing sound from the TVJVC TH-BA1 Soundbar System with Wireless Subwoofer.

I decided to listen to a few other soundbars in our local stores (ie. HHGregg, Best Buy, etc.) and eventually went with another brand and model. Overall, the JVC soundbar is a great addition to your TV setup if you are wishing to minimize wires and setup. I would recommend the JVC soundbar for smaller rooms, or living areas in which you just want better sound than what your TV has to offer.

  5. got the system and very pleased. I was able to hook it up by myself and I am electronically challenged. Funny someone else said the subwoofer sounded like there was someone at the door. My husband went to answer the door and he didn’t even know about the previous reviews. Great improvement for the price.
